Wood Parquet Flooring Review

Wood parquet flooring  were first introduced in France at the end of the 17th century. Wooden parquet blocks have fixed dimensions, so they can be placed in intricate geometric patterns. They remain a brand of quality and craftsmanship and have been growing in popularity for years.
Parquet wood floors are an excellent way to introduce patterns in a subtle, elegant and durable way. The Natural Wood Floor Company manufactures almost all the parquet floors we sell and we can guarantee that they are manufactured to the highest quality standards.

Why choose parquet floors?

Our parquet is available in several species, including oak and walnut, and in solid or engineering construction. Our range includes superior and natural quality, as well as the effect of sawn saw or aged parquet. In addition to traditionally dimensioned wooden parquet blocks, we manufacture and sell large parquet blocks, as well as chevron blocks and boards.

There are many adjustment options to consider. Standard parquet wood blocks can be laid in a number of traditional patterns, such as the universally adored classic herringbone pattern as well as attractive basket and brick weave styles. With the variety of designs available, you can create the effect you want.

The parquet can be used in any room in the house. It makes a fantastic first impression in the hallways, brings elegant charm to living rooms and looks stunning in bedrooms, and adapts to all decor styles due to its universal style.

Don't be discouraged if you have a small or narrow room. The pattern of the blocks can play with perspective, which helps to lengthen or visually enlarge a room.

Types of parquet floors.

Oak parquet

Oak is a best species for parquet wood flooring. Oak's versatile nature means it is perfect for all kinds of design schemes. A natural-looking oak parquet floor will ripen from a pale toasted biscuit tone to a sweeter look, aging naturally and gracefully.

Because Oak takes pigments so well, it lends itself well to pre-sealed floors. Our range of pre-sealed oak parquet floors range from modern warm gray coastal gray oiled oak parquet to the dramatic dark finish of our Jacobean lacquered parquet. While an oiled finish penetrates wood to protect wood and enhance grain, a lacquered finish gives a subtle boost to the wood surface but still retains a natural look and feel.

Walnut parquet floor

Walnut is a beautiful dark and intense dark wood with a high-end look. A walnut parquet floor will add a luxury appeal to any property. Walnut's rich dark brown tones combine with subtle tonal variations, so the striking geometric design of the parquet floor complements the color and physical characteristics of the wood.

A many more adventurous-looking parquet floor uses a combination of walnut and oak in a slimline construction. Thin alternating strips of walnut and oak contrast with each other in this dazzling, modern floor. With rich details, patterns and colors, our Walnut Fine Line parquet adds depth and interest to a room.

Aged parquet

One of our most popular products is our aged oak wood block. Each block falls off to create worn and smooth edges, creating a convincingly old or distressed look, as if the floor had naturally developed over the years. Wood is sealed with natural oil to create a traditional-looking floor with an authentic look. The final result is a parquet floor that has the elegance and charm of an original antique floor, but with the added benefits of  modern manufacturing techniques.
Advances in latest manufacturing means that, unlike original wood parquet flooring, our engineered aged parquet blocks can be used with under floor heating. With this floor, you get all the benefits of a modern floor but with the look, character, and charm of a reclaimed floor.
